Deb’s skill as an illustrator with an almost photographic finish came from yrs. of practice in pointillism – an art form using pen and ink with specialized small nibs.

Wildlife magazines sometimes use artists to give a different look to publications and some of these drawings take over 40 hrs.

Color portraits of B.C.’s fresh water fish were some of her works for web sites and magazines.  Layers of mediums from water color to acrylics are used to achieve almost life like renditions sought by collectors.

Her involvement in “Fly fishing B.C.”, a knowledge network and interactive broadcasting endeavor was hailed as the best on the subject mainly due to over 90 of illustrations.  Deb was congratulated by the sports fishing industry for the ability to identify the species drawn.
